When it comes to size this CMMG Mk47 is the middle child of the bunch. With a 12.5" barrel it's the longest configuration in the BANSHEE series, offering the right blend between maneuverability and ballistic performance. The Mk47 platform is CMMG's mid-size AR platform, utilizing more robust receivers and components, like CMMG's PowerBolt Technology, without adding unneeded bulkiness. If the magwell on the Mk47s looks ready to take AK-pattern magazines, you would be right. Since AK magazines were designed around the 7.62x39mm cartridge they figured if it's not broke why fix it?
