It has since transitioned to civilian use, favored by enthusiasts, collectors, and competitive shooters.

Beyond its historical significance, the M16A1 upper receiver continues to be relevant today. It is because of this that Luth-AR has decided to add it to its family of Retro Upper Receivers. For those who appreciate the classic look and feel of the M16A1, additional reproductions and original parts are available to build or restore M16A1 clone rifles.
