Ringo the Ringtail

Poorly designed product, not worth +5 rds.

Just upgraded the mag catch and magazine for my G43x, the mag release left a big ole' gouge etched on the side of the magazine. The sharp edges of the steel mag catch are scraping the finish magazine. The mags don't drop free either, you need to pull them out after the upgrade.

I contacted Shield Arms about the issue and they said this is "normal". While I don't really care about aesthetics on a carry gun, (particularly an internal component), If someone considers that normal, I’d question their standards for what is acceptable.

Unnecessary wear and an unreliable magazine isn't worth +5 extra rounds.
